No Silence Here, Enjoy
the Silence

"No Silence Here, Enjoy the Silence" was a self-directed participatory event via silence presented by poet Thomas Devaney at the ICA (Phila) in March 2007 for Fritz Haeg's Sundown Schoolhouse. The program featured Headlong's Devynn Emory, in the first dance performance of John Cage's silence masterpiece 4'33. Other participants: Brian Eckenrode, juggling, and Tyler Gibbons of Red Heart the Ticker on double bass.
